WHAT IS THE REVENANT WOLF EMBLEM?
This original wolf design is the personal emblem of Jay Merrick and it represents both himself and all of his creative projects. The design was originally created in 2016 and it depicts a wolf's head baring fangs against the backdrop of a shield. Jay has spent the past few years constantly expanding upon the original design, tweaking and improving upon it little by little. Until it finally reached it's current iteration in 2024.
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND THE EMBLEM?
Wolves are sometimes seen as symbols of rebirth and creation, but also community, family and companionship—aspects of life that are essential for one's growth in order to become a greater person than they were before. Therefore, the meaning associated with wolves are closely tied to the themes explored in many of the stories that Jay has written.

WHY ARE THERE TWO VERSIONS OF THIS EMBLEM?
The original version of this emblem was designed to be coloured grey, however a gold version was created later on. The gold version is specifically designed to represent Jay's brand of creative projects; "Aurum Revenant" whereas the grey version is associated with Jay Merrick as an individual. Therefore, the grey version is much more closely tied to him, much more personal to him. The word "Aurum" is Latin for gold, which is why that colour was chosen for the brand.

Jay created a YouTube video in 2023 going in-depth on the creation of this emblem; how he came up with the idea, what his inspirations where, the creative process behind the emblem, how the design has evolved over time, and overall discussed the history of the emblem from 2016 to 2023. TRIVIA
1) This emblem was inspired by the Wolf School Medallion from The Witcher and the Cloudy Wolf Emblem from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
2) The exact date that this emblem was created on is the 17th of June, 2016. However, this emblem wasn't made public until the 20th of May, 2023.
3) While this emblem's official name is the "Revenant Wolf Emblem" or the "Aurum Revenant Wolf Emblem", the emblem also has another, more unofficial name. Years before the design was ever made public, Jay named his emblem; "Sköll" after a wolf from Norse mythology. In Norse mythology, Sköll is the son of Fenrir and the brother of Hati, both Sköll and Hati chase the moon and the sun across the sky leading up to the catastrophic event; Ragnarök.
4) This emblem is featured as an easter egg in Jay's novel, Shattered Prophecy. Its appearance is described to be engraved on a sword scabbard in Chapter 16, Page 175.
